Tell us about how you started Ruck and Sandbag training or events:
Prior to rucking/sandbag; CrossFit was my primary training program. I am fairly new to rucking world and events. The year 2022, Allison introduced me to GORUCK and its workouts. I went on an adventure with Allison; briefly stopped at Idaho. Allison suggested a 10-mile ruck with coupon carry. I thought it was a great idea and didn’t think it through. I had no knowledge on rucking or coupon carries. I received a crash course on the 10 miler. Midway through the ruck; Allison told me to stop being a little bitch(joke) and had no choice except turn back to finish. I kept moving and accepted the pain until we finished the 10 miles. Toughest thing I experienced but I appreciated the challenge. From that point forward I started to incorporate more rucking/sandbags with my workouts. Slowly, I started doing GORUCK events and training. I failed at an event and did not finish. Failure is one those things that can bring you down or give you the motivation to try again. From that point on I was on a mission to redeem myself and attempt the event again. I switched my training program (per Allison’s recommendation) and joined The Bakery. Best investment ever!
